The Mobile Economy Asia Pacific 2023

5G momentum continues to gather steam in Asia Pacific, as the technology will underpin much of the innovation and services on mobile-based platforms in the coming years. Notably, India is set to add tens of millions of 5G connections in 2023. By the end of 2030, there will be around 1.4 billion 5G connections in Asia Pacific. Underscoring the impact of mobile in the region, mobile technologies and services generated just under 5% of Asia Pacific’s GDP, a contribution that amounted to $810 billion of economic value added.
