IoT security and the role of eSIM 60620920

Enterprises continue to deem security among the top three challenges to IoT adoption (along with integration with legacy systems and cost), according to our Enterprise in Focus Survey. The fragmentation of the IoT ecosystem makes securing IoT a difficult task. As IoT scales so does the surface of attack, which already encompasses a vast ecosystem of devices, communication protocols, platforms and applications. True end-to-end security is difficult to achieve, especially when taking into account the IT/OT and cost requirements. Yet, enterprises view device-to-cloud security as the most important criteria when evaluating an IoT solution's security features.

In this report, we examine how eSIM can address some of the challenges around IoT security. We also highlight a range of vendors offering IoT security solutions, including connectivity and software providers, and security specialists.
