Increasingly advanced AI integration in smartphones is expected to have a wide-ranging impact across smartphone hardware, software and user apps. For example, moving large language models (LLMs) to smartphones will require a focus on improving power efficiency in chipsets; advanced AI will likely lead to hyper-personalisation of the smartphone OS user experience; and LLMs are expected to help introduce a plethora of new functionality in mobile apps.
